Rampant Violence and Fear

Since the results of the election violence and racism has become all too common. There are countless examples of it happening, here are just a few:

Maybe you voted for Trump but didn't realize this would be the outcome. Well can you watch this video @ Jorge Ramos - The Trump Effect and if they come for their parents, tell these kids you'll stand with them. Stand against those who come to destroy their family. The fear they feel is real and they're not alone. I've seen some Trump supporters mock millennials as weak because they feel this fear. Sadly nothing I say or do is likely change how they view the world. Which is quite sad, they will have to open their eyes on their own. However I will quote a very famous poem and hope it creates a spark:

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."
- Martin Niemöller
Closer to home, my wife is afraid for her safety. I'll stand against anyone who tries to do anything to her but the fear is there. She wants to leave because she doesn't want to deal with the hatred, racism and discrimination that she could very well face because of the color of her skin. I understand her fear and concerns, this is not the America I grew up to believe in. We are better than this. If you see someone being discriminated against, stand with them. We can not allow activities like this! Stand up! Stand strong! We are the Agents of the Future!
